The Original Violet

When Kay won my competition and chose a Violet as her flower, she explained about her Grandma and the continuing theme of her name.
She has very kindly shared this photo of her and is happy with me sharing it.
Isn't she beautiful? She certainly doesn't look like a shrinking Violet to me, think there's quite a twinkle in her eye.

I enjoyed reading about The Original Violet because it shows how one painting can share so much feeling through simple colors and details. While planning a few family tasks, I also looked into alpha insurance agency, so I could relate to balancing everyday responsibilities with taking time to enjoy creative work. It reminded me that art has a quiet way of helping us slow down and notice the beauty around us.
